This module was developed by the NH Parent Information Center for IMPACCT.   IMPACCT is a partnership of the NH Vocational Rehabilitation (NHVR), Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) and high schools throughout NH.  The program is dedicated to helping students with disabilities become part of the local workforce as they navigate from high school to employment, post-secondary education, or training that leads towards a career.

Designed for youth, by youth the module reviews why it’s important to understand your strengths, needs, preferences, and interests as you prepare for life after high school so you can effectively speak up for yourself at home, in school, and at work. Learn about the importance of communication and how to deliver your message with confidence. Finally, understand why it is important to know about your disability and about disclosure – your right to choose whether or not to tell others (employers, professors, etc.) about your disability.

For additional information, contact your high school.
